ECONO-STRIP SELF EMULSIFYING OIL

1. TYPICAL PROPERTIES:

  • Density @ 20 deg. C :kg/litre 0,88
  • Flash Point (PMCC) :180 deg. C

2. OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

  • 1. Calcium long-chain alkyl salicyclate : <6%

  • 2. Other components (mixture) contains wool fat & traces of ammonia : <1%

  • 3. Refined mineral oil : Balance

  • 4. Appearance : Dark & bright, slight sediment and suspended matter.

3. HSE ASPECTS:

EXPLOSION:

  • Prevention: Avoid formation of mists or excessive heating.
  • Hazard: May form explosive mixtures if volatilized.

5. EYES:

  • Prevention: Wear safety glasses/face shield if splashes are likely to occur.
  • Hazard. Slight to moderate irritation.
  • First Aid: If irritation persists SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. Wash copiously with water for at least 10 minutes.

6. FIRE:

  • Prevention: Store away from direct sunlight and other sources of heat.
  • Hazard: Combustible
  • First Aid: OBTAIN EXPERT HELP IMMEDIATELY.
  • Extinguishing: Foam, dry agent or carobon dioxide. DO NOT USE water jet.

7. INGESTION:

  • Prevention: AVOID.
  • Hazard: Not likely to arise during normal use.
  • First Aid: DO NOT UNDUCE VOMITING. SEND TO HOSPITAL IMMEDIATELY. Give 250ml milk or water to drink.

8. INHALATION:

  • Prevention: AVOID.
  • Hazard: Does not normally give rise to harmful vapours.
  • First Aid: If dizzy or nauseous, remove casualty to fresh air. If symptoms persist, OBTAIN MEDICAL ATTENTION.

9. SKIN:

  • Prevention: Wear protective clothing to minimize skin contact.
  • Hazard: Minimally irritating. Not expected to be a skin sensitizer.
  • First Aid. If irritation persists, OBTAIN MEDICAL ATTENTION.

10. SPILLAGE:

  • Handling: Contain spillage and mop up with absorbent clay or mineral oil absorbent.

11. STORAGE:

  • Handling: Store in a cool, clean, dry place with adequate ventilation.
